About this image

Most students who take the SAT spend at least a few months preparing for the test. They may buy a prep book, hire a tutor, or take a SAT prep course. Some students even spend thousands of dollars to give themselves the best chance of getting a good score. The SAT is a very important test, and many colleges use it to make decisions about who to admit. So it's no surprise that there is so much pressure to do well on the SAT. But some people say that the SAT is unfair. They argue that not everyone can afford to spend months preparing for the test, and that this gives an advantage to wealthy students. Others say that the SAT is biased against certain groups of people, such as minorities. Some people have even called for the SAT to be banned altogether.
