About this image

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a serious injury that can cause long-term damage. Recovered alcoholics have a higher chance of developing another TBI due to the long-term psychological effects of alcoholism. People who experience a traumatic brain injury have a higher chance of developing post-concussion syndrome, which is a condition that results from a concussion. The recovery period after having a severe concussion can be long and difficult, but with the help of a supportive community it is possible to return to life as before the injury occurred.
